What do we look for in a teacher?Öğretmen seçerken neye bakıyoruz?
In a bilingual classroom a teacher is more than someone who speaks the language. Every candidate spends a day in class with the children; we decide together at the end of that day.
For Turkish teachers, a degree in preschool teaching or child development
For native English teachers, early years experience and a teaching certificate (CELTA, TESOL or equivalent)
A current paediatric first aid certificate for all staff
At least 40 hours of in-house training a year: bilingualism, play and observation
